• Dog Park Proposed At Suffield Park (patch.com) — Suffield officials are weighing a proposal to turn part of Stony Brooke Park into a fenced off-leash dog area, funded largely by existing donations and possibly added maintenance money. Conservation commissioners want more details on wildlife impacts, deed restrictions, and neighborhood feedback before acting, and are also debating a nearly $62,000 automated entrance gate that could charge nonresidents.
   

• Suffield Hemp Processor Wins Cannabis Zoning Fight (patch.com) — A Connecticut Supreme Court ruling has cleared the local zoning roadblock for a Suffield hemp processor seeking to grow and process cannabis at a long-used South Grand Street facility. The justices found the proposed cannabis micro-cultivation similar to the site's historic tobacco and hemp use, though Lasa Extract LLC must still secure a separate state cannabis license before operating.
