WHAT: The annual Storrs Congregational Church Welcome Back Celebration and Carillon Concert
WHEN: Saturday, August 29, celebration beginning at 2 p.m. followed by a concert on the church’s historic carillon at 5 p.m.
WHERE: Grounds of Storrs Congregational Church, 2 North Eagleville Road.
Parking available in the lot behind the church parish house, entrance off North Eagleville Road.
WHAT’S HAPPENING:
Baked Goods Giveaway for Students: Home-baked goods and other treats
Musical Performances:By singer/guitarist Chris McLean, and the band AshBABY, founded by UConn students
Table displays: by community groups
Carillon Concert: Featuring renowned carillonneur Margaret Angelini, performing on the church’s historic carillon
WHY: A welcome back for university students and an opportunity for students and the wider community to greet friends and learn about community resources.
