Preliminary Report Issued On Car Vs. Motorcycle Crash Near Vernon-Manchester Line
The crash took place Tuesday.

VERNON, CT — Vernon police Wednesday issued a preliminary report on a crash the day before between a motorcycle and car near the Manchester line.
The crash took place at about 4:30 p.m., in the area of 14
Hartford Turnpike, according top the report.
The Vernon Fire Department and Vernon Ambulance personnel responded to provide medical care.

An adult male operator of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to
Hartford Hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and is cooperating with the investigation.
The roadway was closed for several hours while investigators processed the scene.

The crash is being investigated by the Metro Traffic Services Accident Reconstruction Team. No charges have been filed.
