It was a special July in the Sky fireworks display as Vernon paid tribute to America's 250th anniversary.
VERNON, CT — The 2o26 version of Vernon's annual July in the Sky celebration had a bit more special meaning Wednesday.
A bright segment honored America's 250th anniversary.
The day began with the display assembly atop Fox Hill at Henry Park. As in past years, there were about 1,100 shells.
