The college also lists several Oakville students and outlines the GPA and credit requirements for earning Dean’s List status.

Ava Veronneau of Watertown Named to Western New England University's Spring 2026 Dean's List (primepublishers.com) — Watertown residents can celebrate local student Ava Veronneau, who earned a spot on Western New England University’s Spring 2026 Dean’s List for maintaining at least a 3.30 GPA. The announcement highlights her academic dedication and briefly describes the university’s programs and regional ties.
   

3. Class of 2030 Orientation connects new Bobcats with network of support (qu.edu) — A Watertown student, Deyala Mashni, is among Quinnipiac’s incoming Class of 2030, using summer orientation to prepare for studying political science and eventually law. The story follows several new students as they explore campus, build connections, and learn about academic and support resources during the two-day sessions.
   

4. Daniel Hand wins CIAC Division II boys golf championship; Griswold's Josiah Wells medalist (ctpost.com) — Watertown High’s boys golf team finished 15th with a 336 at the CIAC Division II championship at Goodwin Golf Course in Hartford. Daniel Hand captured the team title by one stroke, while Griswold’s Josiah Wells earned individual medalist honors with a 1-over-par 71.
   

5. Threats targeting Hamden middle school, Walmart were 'deliberate hoax,' police say (newstimes.com) — A recent wave of fake school threats across Connecticut included one that forced an evacuation at a Watertown middle school, though it was ultimately deemed a hoax. Hamden police say similar anonymous calls about shooters and explosives at Hamden Middle School and a Walmart were also swatting incidents, stressing that all such reports are taken seriously and false reports carry legal consequences.
