• New North Cemetery Tour Unearths Stories From West Hartford's Past (patch.com) — West Hartford residents can now explore North Cemetery with a new self-guided tour brochure created by Town Historian Mary Donohue as part of the America 250 commemoration. The guide highlights Revolutionary and Civil War veterans, early Black residents like James Pine and Mary Louise Lisbon, and pioneering publisher Kate E. Griswold, with digital and printed copies available locally.
   

• Streets in this CT town look different. Officials say nearly 100 projects have been completed (courant.com) — West Hartford has already completed 96 Vision Zero road safety projects this year, with more than 100 additional improvements underway or planned. From new raised crosswalks and refuge islands to 25 mph neighborhood limits and reflective gear giveaways, the town is aggressively targeting nighttime and winter crash risks while reporting no pedestrian fatalities so far this year.
