1. West Hartford To Take Inventory Of Streetlights (patch.com) — Contractors working for West Hartford will begin a six-week inventory of every town streetlight starting the week of Sept. 21, so residents will see workers stopping at poles and taking photos. Officials emphasize that Tanko Lighting staff will be clearly identified and in marked vehicles, and encourage anyone with questions to contact Community Development Director Duane Martin.
   

2. New Amuseument Center/Restaurant Seeks 100 Workers Ahead Of West Hartford Opening (patch.com) — West Hartford residents can look forward to a new Level99 entertainment center and restaurant opening this fall at The Corbin Collection, bringing about 100 new jobs. The 43,000-square-foot venue will feature dozens of team-based mini-games, a large dining area partnered with Two Roads Brewing, and locally created artwork, with several weeks of in-person job fairs starting September 28.
   

3. Phone Service Restored At West Hartford Offices, Schools: UPDATE (patch.com) — Phone service to West Hartford schools, Town Hall, fire stations, and other municipal offices has been fully restored after a disruption blocked inbound calls Thursday morning. Officials say the outage stemmed from the town's phone carrier, and during the downtime residents were directed to use the online staff directory to email employees for callbacks.
   

4. Mount Saint Joseph Academy Alumnae to Reunite at Their Historic Alma Mater, Now Home to Aviva Senior Living - We-Ha (we-ha.com) — Alumnae of Mount Saint Joseph Academy are invited back to their former West Hartford school, now Aviva Senior Living, for an all-classes reunion on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026. The afternoon event at One Hamilton Heights Drive celebrates lifelong friendships and the building's rich local history, with tickets $35 and RSVPs requested by Oct. 1.
   

5. SoNE HEALTH and University of Saint Joseph Build on Academic Partnership to Expand Clinical Learning Opportunities - We-Ha (we-ha.com) — Nurse practitioner and PA students at West Hartford's University of Saint Joseph are gaining more hands-on training through expanded clinical rotations with Southern New England Healthcare Organization practices in Connecticut and Massachusetts. The partnership aims to ease regional provider shortages while giving USJ students real-world experience in patient-centered, coordinated care across multiple specialties and degree programs.
