What it will fund (courant.com) — West Haven is set to receive $2.4 million in FEMA funding to reinforce Savin Rock Beach, a project aimed at protecting the shoreline and nearby infrastructure from future flooding. The grant is part of nearly $3 million for Connecticut communities, following recent flash floods and growing concern about climate-driven extreme rainfall across the state.
