Weston Early Learning Center Opens Preschool Applications
Applications are due Nov. 20 for Hurlbutt Elementary School's integrated preschool program, which is open only to Weston families.
Weston families can apply for Hurlbutt Elementary School’s Early Learning Center through 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, according to a Town of Weston announcement. The application period began Friday, Oct. 23.
The center serves preschool students with disabilities and includes peer models in an integrated program. The district has no general education preschool classes, according to the announcement. Peer models support social interaction, language development, cooperative play and learning in an inclusive setting.
The program is open only to Weston families, and children must be toilet-trained and 3 or 4 years old by Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2027. Peer models should demonstrate age-appropriate social, communication and play skills. They should also show emerging abilities to follow routines, join group activities, interact positively, share, take turns and follow adult directions.
