Aquarion Crews Repairing Water Main Break In Westport

WESTPORT, CT — Aquarion Water Company is working to repair a main break in Westport on Monday afternoon that is impacting a few dozen residents on Baker Avenue, Marvin Place, and Sleigh Ridge, according to officials.

The break of the 6-inch water main is being repaired on Imperial Avenue, and crews hoped to have a resolution by Monday evening.

"We anticipate service to be restored in approximately 6 to 8 hours," officials said in a statement. "During and after this event, customers may experience no water, low pressure and/ or discoloration. Should discoloration occur, customers should run their cold-water faucet until the water runs clear prior to resuming use."
