From Injury to Champion: Christine Wang Comes Full Circle

Congratulations to Christine Wang, winner of the 2026 Hartford HealthCare Women’s Championship — a victory made even more meaningful by what happened just one year ago.
“Last year I actually had to withdraw from this tournament because I had a wrist problem,” Wang said. Hartford HealthCare quickly connected her with urgent care for X-rays, which confirmed nothing was broken. With rehabilitation services supporting her recovery, she was able to return to competition and finish the season.
One year later, Wang returned to the Hartford HealthCare Women’s Championship — and walked away a champion.
