Temporary Road Closures Announced In Westport

WESTPORT, CT — A portion of Evergreen Avenue in Westport, and one direction of the Saugatuck River bridge at Bridge Street, are closed Thursday for road work, according to Westport police.

Evergreen Avenue is closed between Washington Avenue and Myrtle Avenue until 3 p.m. Emergency vehicles and buses will be allowed, but all other vehicle traffic must find alternate routes.

On the Saugatuck River bridge at Bridge Street, only Westbound traffic will be allowed as the Eastbound lane is closed.

The closure will be in effect for approximately 5 hours, according to police.
