Driver Walked Into Woods After Wilton Crash, Charged With 3rd DUI: Police (patch.com) — Wilton police say a 55-year-old local woman was arrested on New Canaan Road after allegedly driving drunk, striking a rock formation and walking into nearby woods with a passenger. Officers reported clear signs of impairment and high blood alcohol levels, and she now faces a third-offense DUI along with multiple motor vehicle charges and an upcoming court date.

2. Where To Pick Pumpkins Near Wilton This Fall — And How To Carve Them (patch.com) — Families in Wilton can dive into fall by visiting Ambler Farm's seasonal programs or heading to nearby Silverman's Farm in Easton and Pumpkinseed Hill Farm in Shelton for pumpkin picking and hayrides. The piece also walks readers through practical, step-by-step tips for carving a standout jack-o'-lantern to display on their Wilton porches this Halloween.

3. Hines Withdraws Wilton Applications, Seeks New Review (goodmorningwilton.com) — Developers of the proposed 280‑unit senior living complex on Wilton's Belden Hill Road have withdrawn their current Planning and Zoning applications but say they'll seek a new, nonbinding pre-application review. The move follows months of heated debate and a procedural dispute over how zoning changes and permits should be reviewed, leaving neighbors and the town waiting to see what a revised proposal might look like.

4. Wilton Surveys Mental Health Needs to Guide Local Services (goodmorningwilton.com) — Wilton is asking every resident to complete a new Community Needs Assessment survey running through Oct. 31, aiming to shape mental health, social services, and grant funding priorities. Adult and youth surveys, funded by opioid settlement money, will guide decisions by Social Services, the schools, police, and other partners, so broad participation from Wilton households is crucial.

5. Wilton Selectmen Confront Boucher Over Moody's Review (goodmorningwilton.com) — Wilton's Board of Selectmen sharply questioned First Selectman Toni Boucher for not telling them sooner that Moody's had placed the town's Aaa credit rating under review this summer.
