Here Are The Most Recent Property Sales In Wilton (patch.com) — Wilton homebuyers and sellers can gauge the current market from five recent sales between September 1 and 11, ranging from a $726,000 cottage to a $1.61 million colonial. Smaller properties on Glen View and New Street Extension fetched notably higher prices per square foot than larger homes on Kent and Blue Ridge Roads, highlighting strong demand for more compact Wilton housing.
   

2. Driver Went 1.5 Miles On 3 Tires After Wilton Crashes: Police (patch.com) — Police say a 43-year-old Wilton woman drove about 1.5 miles on three tires after sideswiping two vehicles and hitting a guardrail on School Road near Comstock Community Center before stopping at Ridgefield and Drum Hill roads. She was arrested on DUI and related charges, refused sobriety and breath tests, and is due in Stamford Superior Court later this month.
   

3. Suspicious person detained in Wilton (newportdispatch.com) — Wilton police, aided by neighboring departments, tracked down a suspicious person who ran into nearby woods after being spotted on a resident's property Wednesday morning. After multiple sightings from residents, officers safely detained the individual, determined with New York authorities that no crime had occurred, and arranged hospital evaluation and a coordinated return to New York.
   

4. Wilton BOF Delays $106K Highway Garage Door Funding (goodmorningwilton.com) — Wilton's Board of Finance has delayed a $106,000 request to replace nine Highway Department garage doors, saying the capital funding form from town officials was incomplete. At the same meeting, the board approved $350,000 for a federally backed road safety study, most of which could be reimbursed, potentially shaping future improvements to local streets and intersections.
