📰 News we're reading

• Windsor Committee Backs $28K Vietnam War Memorial (patch.com) — Windsor officials are advancing plans for a new Vietnam War memorial on the Town Green, with a council committee unanimously backing a $22,000 town contribution toward the $28,000 project. The granite monument would honor all Windsor residents who served, complement existing World War I and II memorials, and could be installed by May 2027 if the full Town Council and Planning and Zoning Commission give final approval.

• Person ejected, seriously injured in I-91 crash in Windsor, police say (nhregister.com) — A serious two-car crash on I-91 south in Windsor closed the highway between Exits 36 and 35B Thursday evening after one person was ejected and taken to Hartford Hospital. State police and DOT report heavy traffic and an active investigation, so Windsor drivers should avoid the area and expect major delays while the scene is cleared.

• Regal Ventures, Snowball and Devli Acquire 186,603-Square-Foot Connecticut Industrial Property (citybiz.co) — A joint venture of real estate firms has bought the 186,603-square-foot industrial facility at 600 Day Hill Road in Windsor, long occupied by the Spencer division of Howden USA. The tenant's lease runs through 2034, and the nearly 30-acre site near Bradley Airport gives the new owners room for future expansion while keeping current manufacturing operations in town.
