The East Windsor Historical Society presents Clockmaker and Historian Tom Vaughn in this FREE event. Clockmaker and historian Tom Vaughn will offer a demonstration on 18th century clockmaking. With a focus on East Windsor clockmaker Daniel Burnap, Tom will bring a variety of original and reproduction tools identical to those used in Burnap’s shop. See a working treadle lathe, and watch how Burnap would have cut perfect gears on a wheel cutting engine. Learn about some of the other things clockmakers would be doing, like casting and silver plating metal. Enfield’s Valley Rep Theater Company will present the hilarious comedy, “Love, Sex, and the I.R.S.” by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore on April 24, 25 and May 1 at 7:00pm and on May 2 at 1:00pm.
Join us for this fast-paced farce about two unemployed musicians who file their tax returns as a married couple to save money.When an IRS agent arrives to complete an audit, comedic chaos unfolds at a manic pace.This is a family friendly night of entertainment (no sex, no kidding) that will leave you enjoying tax season!
Performances will be at the CT State Asnuntuck Theater.Tickets are $25 general admission, $20 students/senior and will be available at the door (cash or check only).
