East Windsor Police Announce DUI Checkpoint

The effort is aimed at finding impaired drivers and improving roadway safety.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — East Windsor police will conduct a DUI checkpoint Friday night in the area of 148 North Road, the department announced.

The checkpoint is scheduled to run from 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, until 1 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8.

Police said the checkpoint is designed to detect impaired drivers and promote safety on local roads. The department’s public notice said the announcement is required under Connecticut law.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, designate a sober driver, use a rideshare service or call a taxi.
