Road Work Progress: Windsor Locks Streets

Crews will return next week to install new curbs before applying the final layer of pavement.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — A road improvement project on Briarcliff Drive and Druid Street reached another milestone this week as crews completed the first of two asphalt layers.

According to the Windsor Locks Department of Public Works, the binder course of asphalt was installed Friday. The contractor is expected to return next week to install new curbs before crews apply the final top layer of asphalt.

Once paving is complete, Spazzarini Construction Co., LLC will finish the project by backfilling behind the new curbs, restoring disturbed areas with topsoil and grass seed, and completing final punch list items.
