Route 140 Bridge Closure Delayed As Snowstorm Pushes Work To Next Weekend

EAST WINDSOR, CT — A planned closure of the Route 140 bridge into Windsor Locks has been postponed because of the pending snowstorm.

According to the East Windsor Police Department, the construction company has delayed the work until next weekend. The closure is now expected to begin Saturday at 4 p.m. and last until 4 p.m. Sunday.

Police said updates will be shared as the new closure date approaches, and an announcement will be made once the bridge reopens.

Drivers are urged to plan ahead, drive safely, and make sure their vehicles are fueled and in good working condition ahead of the weekend weather.
