• Perdue says Milford Ammonia release involved about 6 pounds (coasttv.com) — Perdue Farms says an ammonia release at its Milford plant on June 9 was contained inside the building and involved about six pounds of vapor, with no injuries reported. State environmental officials say a suspected refrigeration valve failure caused the hazardous release, prompting an evacuation and air monitoring before the facility was declared safe. 
• Milford City Council June 8 meeting highlights (milfordlive.com) — Milford City Council just approved the FY2027 budget, key capital projects, and up to $15,000 to back Downtown Milford Inc.’s July 3 laser light show replacing fireworks. Council also advanced housing rehab funding, a new historical museum, daycare, industrial redevelopment, sewer repairs, and set dates for a Ward 3 special election hearing and other city business.
• Delaware Municipal Leaders Launch Statewide AI Committee (wmdt.com) — Milford’s Information Technology Department is leading a new statewide committee on how Delaware governments should use artificial intelligence responsibly. Local leaders, including Milford’s city manager and IT director, are helping shape policies, security guidelines, and real-world uses for tools like Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot. The group meets again virtually on July 14 to continue planning AI in public services.
