• Wilmington Man Charged After Newark Traffic Stop Uncovers Crack Cocaine, Pills (shorenewsnetwork.com) — Newark Police say a June 2 traffic stop on South College Avenue led to the arrest of a Wilmington man and the seizure of suspected crack cocaine and prescription pills. Officers from the Street Crimes Unit stopped a vehicle tied to a shoplifting case, then charged the driver with felony drug offenses before he was released pending a future court appearance.

• Property tax rates to re-split as Delaware advances reassessment reform (delawareonline.com) — Delaware lawmakers are advancing a package of bills that would let New Castle County school districts re-split residential and commercial property tax rates and reset rates as reassessment continues. A Newark-area Democrat is helping lead efforts to improve data sharing, create statewide assessment guidelines, and form working groups on property tax relief that could affect future school and county tax bills.
