1. Gunfire Investigation Leads to Arrest After Brief Struggle (mychesco.com) — Police investigating possible gunfire near East 23rd and Jessup streets in Wilmington arrested a 40-year-old man after a brief foot chase and struggle, recovering a loaded handgun and shell casing. He now faces multiple felony firearm and endangerment charges and is being held on $71,000 cash-only bail, with all charges still to be proven in court.
   

2. Wilmington Man Arrested for Possession of More Than 400 Grams of Fentanyl (justice.gov) — A Wilmington man faces federal charges after police and the FBI say they found about 840 grams of fentanyl and 450 grams of cocaine in his New Castle County apartment, following a raid where he allegedly jumped from a third-floor window. With two prior serious drug felonies alleged, he could face at least 25 years in prison if convicted, though sentencing would be up to a judge.
   

3. Netflix House Building In King Of Prussia Sells For $60M: The Philadelphia Deal Sheet (bisnow.com) — A new 137-acre Delaware Container Terminal is now under construction at Port Wilmington, aiming to boost the city's role in global shipping and compete with Philadelphia's port by 2029. State leaders say the public-private project should create thousands of union jobs and expand opportunities for Delaware workers and businesses tied to Wilmington's waterfront economy.
   

4. DVR Celebrates Successful Summer Experience (delaware.gov) — From its Wilmington base, Delaware's Division of Vocational Rehabilitation wrapped up an eight-week Summer Experience that helped 31 young people with disabilities explore careers and build workplace skills. Participants visited colleges, training centers, and state agencies, gaining hands-on exposure to trades, healthcare, aviation, and media while families praised the confidence and hope the program created.
   

5. DSB Accepting Applications for State's First $10M Film Tax Credit Program (delaware.gov) — A new $10 million Delaware Entertainment and Production Tax Credit, announced from Wilmington, is now open to film, TV, esports, and video game projects spending at least $100,000 in the state. The program aims to draw productions to Delaware locations, create local jobs, and support in-state filmmakers with a 30% transferable tax credit and flexible rules for smaller projects.
