• Delaware's unemployment rate falls to 4.8% in four-month low (delawarebusinesstimes.com) — Wilmington's unemployment rate has climbed to 6.2%, notably higher than Delaware's overall 4.8% jobless rate in July, even as the state continues a four-month streak of modest improvement. State data show the labor force shrinking, uneven sector gains and losses, and both Wilmington and Dover bearing a heavier share of job losses than the rest of Delaware.
