• Thief busted after running from cops at Aventura Mall (local10.com) — Police in Aventura recently arrested a man after a chaotic chase through Aventura Mall, where he allegedly ran through crowds, knocked over bystanders, and discarded stolen merchandise. The suspect, detained in the mall's parking garage, is on felony probation and has multiple prior theft convictions, according to officials. 
• Nearly 30,000 Pounds of Argentine Beef Recalled After Skipping Federal Reinspection (town.news) — An Aventura-based importer, Corte Argentino USA, is recalling nearly 30,000 pounds of Argentine beef that entered the U.S. without required federal reinspection. Products were distributed in Florida, Texas, and online, and residents are urged to check labels, avoid eating the affected beef, and discard or return it for safety.
