• Man arrested over Draco pistol in Aventura was out on bond after arrest in Miami Springs, records show (local10.com) — A man was arrested Monday morning outside the DICK'S Sporting Goods on Biscayne Boulevard in Aventura after police say surveillance video showed him circling the parking lot with a Draco pistol and 30-round magazine. Records show he was already out on bond from an earlier Miami Springs case, and now faces a new firearm exhibition charge in Miami-Dade court. 
• South Florida mayors join Miami Beach push to keep license plate readers (nbcmiami.com) — Aventura's mayor joined other coastal leaders backing Miami Beach's push to keep license plate readers on state roads, arguing the technology helps track suspects and stolen cars while still allowing for stronger privacy safeguards. They're asking Gov. DeSantis and FDOT to pause a 30-day removal order and work with local police on stricter oversight instead of an outright ban.
