Fired Fertility Doctor, 76, Sues Boca Clinic Over Alleged Age Bias (bocanewsnow.com) — A 76-year-old former medical director is suing Boca Fertility IVF Center in Boca Raton, alleging he was pushed out and offered a sharply reduced role because of his age. Filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court, the lawsuit seeks back pay, damages, and possible reinstatement, while the clinic has not yet filed a response.
   

2. Boca Ocean Rescue member honored for rescuing pilot from ocean (wpbf.com) — A Boca Raton Ocean Rescue lifeguard has been named the city's first Mayor's MVP after quickly reaching and helping a pilot whose small plane ditched into the Atlantic just off Boca Raton. City officials praised Palmer Smith's rapid response and professionalism, while federal investigators continue reviewing the emergency landing that diverted from Boca Raton Airport to shallow offshore waters.
   

3. Maryland Couple Sues DFY Vending And Boca Raton CEO Over $135,000 Vending Machine Deal (bocapost.com) — A Boca Raton-based vending company and its CEO are being sued in Palm Beach County by a Maryland couple seeking to unwind a $135,000 deal for five "smart" vending machines. The complaint, which alleges the agreement was an unregistered security and claims fraud in the inducement, asks for rescission, damages, and fees; none of the allegations have been proven in court.
   

4. Palm Beach is Seeing an Uptick in Loggerhead Sea Turtle Nests (bocaratontribune.com) — Boca Raton's beaches are seeing record-breaking loggerhead and leatherback nesting this season, even as nearby Palm Beach trends closer to average. Local monitors report more than 1,000 loggerhead nests along Boca's coastline, while reminding coastal residents to follow strict lighting rules through October 31 to protect emerging hatchlings.
