Partial Human Remains Found Near Sunshine Skyway Bridge: Manatee Sheriff (patch.com) — Residents in the Bradenton area are being urged to help identify a woman whose partial remains were found near the Sunshine Skyway Bridge along I-275, with Manatee County deputies still unsure how she died. Investigators say she may have been in the water for several days, and an autopsy is underway to determine her cause of death and gather clues to her identity.
   

2. Gulf Islands Ferry opens Coquina Bayside stop (islander.org) — Bradenton residents now have an easier way to reach Coquina Beach thanks to Manatee County's expanded Gulf Islands Ferry, which runs from the Bradenton Riverwalk Pier to Bradenton Beach and the new Coquina Bayside stop. The service operates Wednesday through Sunday, carried over 55,000 riders last year, and offers online ticketing plus chances to spot dolphins while avoiding beach traffic.
   

3. 9 Bradenton-area restaurants cited for high-priority violations (heraldtribune.com) — Several Bradenton restaurants, along with eateries in nearby Palmetto, Parrish and Anna Maria Island, were recently cited for high-priority health violations during state inspections. The report details issues like unsafe food temperatures and chemical storage, while also explaining how inspections work and how Bradenton diners can look up scores or report concerns to state regulators.
   

4. Driver crashes through Bradenton business on Cortez Road, police say (bradenton.com) — A 73-year-old driver crashed through Turning Tides wellness center at Cortez Village Plaza in Bradenton, causing about $50,000 in damage but miraculously injuring no one else. The car narrowly missed diners at Sage Biscuit Cafe and also damaged HCA Florida Blake Hospital's outpatient rehab center, prompting evacuations and a license re-evaluation for the driver.
