• Tampa firm turns scrap into sculpture — with prices from $600 to a projected $100K (businessobserverfl.com) — A new metal art gallery and fabrication shop, Modern Art Creations, is quietly operating just off North Dale Mabry Highway in one of Carrollwood's grittier commercial corridors, transforming scrap into sculptures priced from hundreds to tens of thousands. The founders hope to grow from this tucked-away Lazy Lane location into a national player by courting hotels, architects, and commercial clients while showcasing work from select Tampa Bay artists.
