• Free conference teaches how to help ecosystems weather climate change; what to do if they can't (wgcu.org) — An upcoming Southwest Florida Resiliency Summit at the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center this September will teach residents and agencies how local ecosystems can better withstand climate change impacts. Experts will discuss how wetlands, rivers, and coastal areas respond to stronger storms, higher seas, and development, and what communities can do when nature stops bouncing back.
