CLEARWATER, FL — The beachfront Florida mansion where professional wrestling legend Hulk Hogan died last year has sold for $5.9 million, far below its original asking price.

The five-bedroom Clearwater Beach residence was one of two neighboring properties owned by Hogan, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea, when he died July 24, 2025, at age 71.

According to Realtor.com, the larger property sold for $5.9 million after initially hitting the market in January for approximately $10.98 million.

A neighboring cottage also owned by the WWE Hall of Famer sold for $2.8 million, bringing the combined value of the two sales to approximately $8.7 million.

Both transactions closed Oct. 23, according to published real estate records.

The Tampa Bay Business Journal reported Thursday that the buyer of the mansion also purchased the neighboring cottage.

Hogan purchased the larger property in April 2012 for approximately $3.33 million before expanding his beachfront holdings in 2016 with the purchase of the adjacent cottage for $1.6 million.

The Mediterranean-style mansion features more than 5,000 square feet of living space across three stories, with five bedrooms, a private elevator, swimming pool, spa, chef's kitchen and views of the Gulf.

However, the property underwent several significant price reductions after being listed earlier this year. Its asking price dropped to $8.99 million, then $7.9 million in June and finally $6.9 million in September before selling for another $1 million less.

The neighboring three-bedroom cottage, which Hogan used as a guesthouse, features more than 2,000 square feet of living space, along with its own swimming pool and spa.

As Patch previously reported in April, the smaller residence was originally listed for $4.5 million through Coldwell Banker Realty as part of Hogan's estate.

The sale comes more than a year after Hogan's death at the Clearwater residence, which prompted an outpouring of tributes from wrestling fans and celebrities around the world.

Patch reported at the time that Clearwater police and emergency personnel responded to Hogan's home July 24, 2025, following a report of cardiac arrest.

He was transported to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Hogan's death was later attributed to natural causes, and authorities found no evidence of criminal wrongdoing following an investigation.

Born in Augusta, Georgia, Hogan became one of professional wrestling's most recognizable personalities during the 1980s, helping transform the World Wrestling Federation, now WWE, into a global entertainment powerhouse.

He also maintained longstanding ties to the Tampa Bay area, where he lived for decades and operated businesses.
