• Trump cancels $11 million in federal funding to Catholic Charities (deseret.com) — A longtime federal contract that helped fund migrant children’s shelters, including services at a Catholic Charities facility in Cutler Bay, has been canceled by the Trump administration. Church leaders say losing the $11 million annual support after more than 60 years could force them to wind down outreach for unaccompanied minors, even as the number of children in federal care has recently declined.
