Orphaned black bear cubs arrive at Flamingo Gardens (sun-sentinel.com) — Two orphaned black bear cubs, Bentley and Treena, have settled into a new 10,000-square-foot habitat at Flamingo Gardens in Davie after being rescued in Georgia. Recent photos show the 14‑month‑olds climbing, swimming, and being hand-fed as they adjust to their permanent Broward sanctuary home.

South Florida veteran gifted car through National Auto Body Council's Recycled Rides Program (wsvn.com) — In Davie, a former U.S. Marine and his wife just received a refurbished 2018 Toyota RAV4 through the National Auto Body Council’s Recycled Rides program, easing their transportation and financial strain. Partnering with Allstate, Crash Champions and Wounded Warriors, the initiative donates about 250 vehicles a year to veterans nationwide, with this latest gift making a direct impact on a local family.
