Auctions & Vendors in place for Betty Griffin Quarter Auction on Oct. 11

More than 60 auction items donated from local businesses and Betty Griffin thrift shoppes will be available for lucky bidders during the Betty Griffin Center Quarter Auction, which takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11 at the Tringali Barn, located at 7310 US-1 in St. Augustine.

Betty Griffin Center would like to thank the following local businesses for their generous donations to auction: Serenity Movement Studio, St. Augustine Colonial Experience/St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure, Florida State Parks, Ponce de le Rollin’, River Restaurant Group, St. Augustine Shipwreck Museum & Gallery, The Amp, St. Johns Golf Club, Wake 2 90-minute private boat tour, Llama Restaurant, Bronx House Pizza, Diane’s Bees, Sovereign Tea Sanctuary and Atlantic Automotive.

Local Vendors on hand will include Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee of St. Augustine, Coastally Yours, Glamor and More, One Florida Group, Strategic Style, Stacey Loomis Books and Old Town Teas.

The Quarter Auction combines the thrill of an auction with the excitement of a raffle, where guests can bid on auction items donated by local businesses, vendors, and select items from Betty Griffin Center Thrift Shoppes.

Bids range from 25 cents to $2. Every quarter bid and dollar raised will directly support shelter operations, counseling, advocacy and the many other vital services the nonprofit provides to survivors of domestic and sexual assault in St. Johns County.

General tickets are $20 per person and includes one paddle, wine, beer donated by Hornski's Brewing Co., iced tea or lemonade. Bidders can bring their own quarters, or purchase rolls of quarters at the event.

VIP tickets are $75 per player and includes one paddle, wine, beer, iced tea or lemonade, along with prepayment to take part in all bidding – excluding silent auction items.

The Betty Griffin Center was founded in 1990 by concerned citizens and incorporated as the Safety Shelter of St. Johns County to develop plans to provide shelter for local victims of domestic violence and their children.
