• Local WWII veteran returns to Normandy 82 years after D-Day (wpbf.com) — A 100-year-old Navy veteran from Lantana has just returned to Normandy for the first time since he fought on Omaha Beach during D-Day, where he was honored with France’s Legion of Honor. Traveling with his son, he revisited the exact spot he served, paid tribute to fallen comrades, and was deeply moved by the gratitude of local residents who still credit veterans like him for their freedom.
