• MSVG Soccer Club: In-House Soccer 2026-27 Season Start Date & Schedule (miamisprings.com) — Families in Miami Springs can mark their calendars for the MSVG Soccer Club’s in-house 2026–27 season kickoff at Stafford Park on Wednesday, August 19, starting at 6 p.m. Divisions from Pee Wees through 10-year-olds will begin that evening, with all activities held at Stafford Park on East Drive. Registration details and contacts are available on the club’s website. 
• As new school year begins, Miami-Dade and Broward officials worry over declining enrollment, further closures (wsvn.com) — Miami Springs families are directly affected as Miami Springs Middle School is among several Miami-Dade campuses closed due to declining enrollment and funding. Officials in both Miami-Dade and Broward say thousands of lost students have forced consolidations, reshuffling children into new schools, and could lead to more closures next year. The new school year still begins Aug. 10 in Broward and Aug. 13 in Miami-Dade.
