• Lawyer of nurse injured at hospital by patient says she has been treated unfairly at work since speaking out; hospital responds (wsvn.com) — A Miami emergency room nurse who was brutally attacked by a patient at Jackson Memorial Hospital has filed a whistleblower notice, claiming she's been transferred, ostracized, and repeatedly called to HR since speaking out. Her lawyer argues security failed during the assault, while Jackson officials insist officers responded quickly and now accuse the nurse of improperly accessing patient records as the dispute escalates.
   

• Miami airport reopens runway after Amazon jet crash (insideflyer.com) — Miami International Airport has now partially reopened after an Amazon-contracted Boeing 767 overran a runway, killing five and injuring seven, and severely damaging the tarmac. One runway remains closed for inspections and repairs, and the incident is renewing questions about why the airport lacks EMAS safety systems that can slow overrunning planes before they reach nearby roads.
