• City of Miramar bans RVs residency (sfltimes.com) — Miramar has passed a new ordinance banning the use of RVs as rentals or permanent homes in residential neighborhoods, with fines up to $500 per violation. City leaders say the move responds to dozens of complaints, while affected residents warn it could push low-income families and seniors toward homelessness amid South Florida’s severe housing affordability crisis.
   

• $414,000 in Scholarships Awarded to More Than 60 High School Students From Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County (thewestsidegazette.com) — Several Miramar students, including residents from McArthur High and Miramar High, are among more than 60 Broward teens sharing $414,000 in Big Brothers Big Sisters scholarships. These awards, ranging from Florida Prepaid plans to specialized career training, recognize local students’ academic achievements and mentoring journeys, helping Miramar families offset college costs and supporting clear paths to higher education.
   

• South Florida Radio Icon Papa Keith Expands His Influence with a New National Role at iHeartMedia (sflcn.com) — City of Miramar Commissioner Yvette Colbourne recently honored longtime South Florida radio host Papa Keith for his community work, just as he prepares to step into a new national role with iHeartMedia. Miramar listeners will still hear him on Saturdays and through his podcast, while his People Matter Fest and other initiatives continue focusing on youth, culture, and safer neighborhoods across the region.
