So long and farewell, the 60-year-old Okeechobee High School to come down (wgcu.org) — Okeechobee High School’s 60-year-old building will be demolished after this school year, and residents are invited to say goodbye before it’s gone. Community farewell tours on April 18 and April 21 let former students and neighbors walk the halls one last time while a new, modern high school is finished on the same campus this summer.
