Officers reported he admitted going “overboard” in the attack, which allegedly involved repeated stabbing and beating her with a trophy. The woman was hospitalized, and the investigation remains active.

State Attorney upgrades charges for ex-Brevard deputy in roommate's shooting death (wesh.com) — Prosecutors have upgraded charges to second-degree murder for former Brevard County deputy Andrew Lawson in the 2022 shooting death of fellow deputy Austin Walsh inside their Palm Bay apartment.
