Choctaw shuts out Escambia on the road, Giles accounts for 5 touchdowns (getthecoast.com) — Escambia High fans in Pensacola watched a tough home loss as Choctaw rolled to a 41-0 shutout in a weather-delayed matchup Thursday night. Visiting quarterback Baker Giles accounted for five touchdowns, while Choctaw's defense intercepted three passes and forced a fumble, leaving Escambia searching for answers before the Indians turn to a high-stakes rivalry game next week.
   

4. Ensign Group expands into Florida with nine nursing facilities, including Pensacola-area operations (newsradio923.com) — Pensacola-area nursing home operations are changing hands as the Ensign Group acquires nine skilled-nursing facilities across Florida in a single deal. The expansion brings 831 beds under Ensign's management, including local sites, though specific facilities and transition timelines have not yet been detailed.
