• Florida strawberry growers win preliminary ruling on Mexican winter imports (bluebookservices.com) — Several Plant City strawberry growers, including Astin Strawberry Exchange and multiple local farms, are key players behind a federal trade case that just won a preliminary ruling against Mexican winter strawberry imports. The U.S. Commerce Department found Mexican berries were sold at unfairly low prices, a step that could bring duties on imports and potentially reshape the market for Plant City's growers in coming years. 
• Obituaries 08.20.26 (plantcityobserver.com) — Plant City is mourning several community members this week, including Wanda "GiGi" Grace and Chrystal Lynne Wilson, both longtime residents. Services for Ruskin resident Betty Joyce Dodd will be held at Haught Funeral Home on Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd in Plant City, and the family of Plant City native Gary Lee Bradshaw will hold private services.
