3. Port St. Lucie woman launches Chris's Place, free grief support community (treasurecoast.today) — A Port St. Lucie woman is launching Chris’s Place, a free in-person grief support community on the Treasure Coast to help neighbors coping with loss. Inspired by her own experience after her husband’s death, she’s turning grief into a resource for others, offering a no-cost space where locals can connect, share, and heal together.
   

4. Port St. Lucie launches free Lunch and Learn series on utilities and storm readiness (treasurecoast.today) — Port St. Lucie’s Utility Systems Department is rolling out free quarterly Lunch and Learn sessions so residents can better understand local water, sewer, and storm-readiness systems. Starting in October and running through July 2027, each noon session at a city facility will help you learn how your utilities work and how the city prepares for severe weather.
   

5. Port St. Lucie opens third annual Halloween house decorating contest (treasurecoast.today) — Port St. Lucie is inviting residents to join its third annual Spooktacular House & Yard Decorating Contest, showcasing Halloween displays visible from the street. Free entries open Oct. 1 and close Oct. 29, giving locals nearly a month to register their decorated homes for some citywide spooky fun.
