• PSTA spares key Pinellas bus routes but raises fares (axios.com) — On-demand Snapper service in Safety Harbor is being eliminated, cutting a low-cost transit option that connected residents around the city and to Countryside Mall. PSTA also approved small fare hikes for tap-to-pay and transportation-disadvantaged riders, while sparing several major Pinellas bus routes from elimination. Safety Harbor riders will feel the loss of their dedicated service most directly.
   

• Community Rallies To Help Resident Rebuild After Devastating Clearwater Fire (tampafp.com) — Safety Harbor firefighters were among several area crews who helped battle a destructive house fire on Cumberland Trail in Clearwater that left the homeowner injured and the home gutted. A neighbor has launched an online fundraiser to cover major rebuilding costs, from structural repairs and a new roof to replacing lost furniture and essentials. Residents across nearby communities are being asked to pitch in.
