Goodwill Industries-Manasota, Inc. invites the Venice community to celebrate the grand opening of the Goodwill Bargain Barn at 201 Triple Diamond Blvd. on Thursday, July 23. iHeart Radio hosts Maverick & Lulu will be on-site from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to shop the bins live and share the Bargain Barn experience with their listeners throughout the morning.

The Bargain Barn at Triple Diamond offers by-the-pound pricing across open bins stocked with clothing, housewares, textiles, and other donated goods. Inventory is restocked and rotated every 30 minutes throughout the day, ensuring an ever-changing selection with something new around every corner.

The Bargain Barn is situated within the Goodwill Triple Diamond Sustainability and Logistics Center, a 54,189-square-foot facility housed in the former Tervis headquarters at 201 Triple Diamond Blvd. The facility functions as a regional distribution and logistics hub supporting Goodwill's mission-integrated social enterprise and commitment to sustainability by extending the life of donated goods through reuse, recycling, and recirculation efforts. In doing so, the center creates new employment opportunities while expanding Goodwill's ability to transform donations into mission impact throughout the region.

Every purchase at the Goodwill Bargain Barn directly supports job training and employment services for underserved, underrepresented, and disadvantaged individuals across the communities Goodwill serves. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nearly 90 cents of every dollar is reinvested in Goodwill's mission: Changing Lives Through the Power of Work.

"The Goodwill Bargain Barn is where community generosity becomes community opportunity," said Donn Githens, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries-Manasota, Inc. "Every item customers discover here began as a donation from a neighbor in this community. When they shop the bins, they are supporting job training and employment for individuals working toward financial stability, and they are helping ensure donated goods continue to serve a purpose. That is the mission of Goodwill at work."
