2 Dead, 2 Injured In Motorcycle Crash In Hillsborough County: FHP
A motorcyclist and his passenger died after a pickup truck turned into their path on Route 41, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A motorcyclist and his passenger died Friday after a pickup truck turned into their path in Hillsborough County.
The crash occurred around 9:10 p.m. at Route 41 and 24th Avenue South, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Authorities said a 44-year-old Ruskin man was driving a Chevy Colorado west on 24th Avenue South when he turned left into the path of a Kawasaki motorcycle heading north on Route 41.
The motorcycle, driven by a 31-year-old Tampa man, struck the pickup truck, according to police. An 18-year-old Clearwater woman was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle.
A second Kawasaki motorcycle, driven by a 20-year-old Tampa man, was traveling behind the first motorcycle. Troopers said he swerved to the right to avoid the pickup and overturned.

All four people involved were taken to area hospitals. The 31-year-old motorcyclist and his 18-year-old passenger later died from their injuries, according to FHP.
The pickup driver and second motorcyclist were also injured. Authorities did not provide information about the severity of their injuries.
