Tampa Motorcyclist Killed In I-75 Crash On Wet Road: FHP (patch.com) — Early Saturday morning, a 44-year-old Tampa motorcyclist died after losing control on a wet I-75 exit ramp to I-4, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The BMW motorcycle overturned and struck a guardrail in Tampa, and troopers said the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
   

2. Second Person Arrested In Brandon Shooting That Injured Bystander: Sheriff (patch.com) — Hillsborough County deputies have arrested a second suspect in an August shooting at a Brandon apartment complex that left an innocent bystander wounded. Investigators say 19-year-old Taurean Sanders was armed during a robbery tied to the gunfire, as they continue working to hold everyone involved in the local violence accountable.

Dade City man survives 10-day coma after severe sepsis battle: 'By the grace of God' (fox13news.com) — A Dade City man credits doctors at Tampa General Hospital and his family's support for surviving a severe sepsis case that left him in a medically induced coma for 10 days. After weeks of intensive treatment and rehab, he's now walking unaided, regaining strength, and planning a vacation, while doctors use his case to stress how quickly sepsis can turn deadly.
