• Doctor and Staff Charged with Falsifying Data in Clinical Drug Trials (justice.gov) — A Southwest Ranches physician has been federally charged, along with three staff members, in an alleged scheme to falsify data in clinical drug trials run from a Pembroke Pines research center. Prosecutors say fabricated records were submitted into trial databases used to evaluate new medications, and each defendant faces serious wire fraud charges while remaining presumed innocent in court. 
• Traveling Six wins Skippers Dolphin Tournament (keysnews.com) — A Southwest Ranches angler, Richard Williams, helped his team secure second place and personally earned a senior angler prize at the Skippers Dolphin Tournament in Key Largo. The multi-day event drew 53 teams, big cash payouts, and several standout catches from visiting and Florida-based fishermen.
