Bomb Threat Prompts Evacuation Of St. Pete School: Police
A St. Petersburg middle school was evacuated after receiving a bomb threat, police said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A St. Petersburg school was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after it received a bomb threat by phone.
The threat prompted the evacuation of all students from campus as a precaution, St. Petersburg police said in a news release.
Explosive-detection K-9s are sweeping the school's buildings, but no suspicious items have been found so far, police said.
