Jewelry Heist Suspect Arrested, Second Suspect Still At Large: St. Pete Police
Two suspects — one still at large — stole $45,000 worth of jewelry from a store in the Old Northeast, St. Pete police said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A man was arrested for his role in a jewelry heist last month, as investigators continue to look for a second suspect, St. Pete police said in a news release.
Savon Hunter, 32, is accused in the burglary of Old Northeast Jewelers, 1131 4th Street N.
Hunter and another suspect used a sledgehammer to break into the back door of the closed store on Jan. 28 around 2 a.m., police said. They stole about $45,000 in jewelry and a gun.

Detectives found Hunter and arrested him.
He faces numerous charges, including armed burglary, dealing in stolen property, false verification of ownership, possession of a controlled substance (crack cocaine) and driving with a suspended license with knowledge, police said.
