St Pete Sunshine Rotary guest on Tuesday, September 15, will be Nathaniel Beaver, a local actor and VP of the Front of the House at St Pete City Theater. He’ll tell us about one of Florida’s longest-running community theaters and the great lineup they have for the coming year. It’s great to have him here as the theater busily prepares for opening weekend, which is only a few days away (be sure to get your tix or season pass)!
It’s been a great weekend; the rain has abated, and the sun has been shining. Beach parking is at a premium, and we’re reminded why we love living in St. Pete!!! Enjoy your last week of the summer break and get ready to hit the ground running as our snowbirds return in the coming weeks!

Last week we had the distinct pleasure of welcoming Joe Bourdow, who founded our local radio station, St Pete Radio (after a distinguished career in franchising and media!!!!). Download the app to stay up to date on local events and enjoy some fine music (especially jazz!)
A couple of notes about upcoming events: we will be helping Building Beds make deliveries on Saturday, September 26, but there will not be an opportunity to build. There is room for only 10 volunteers, so let me know soon if you are available to help. I’m looking forward to participating; I’ve heard that making deliveries is the most heartwarming aspect of this amazing project!

Shout-out to Steve Lampar and the great work PARC does in our community! There will be a ceremony highlighting PARC’s designation as St. Pete’s Legacy Business Council for District 1 on September 16 at 11:00 am.
Don’t miss the chance to visit a museum during Free Museum Day (Sponsored by the St. Petersburg Art Alliance) on September 19th! It’s a great opportunity to spend time at an old favorite or visit one you haven’t had the chance to see. Of note, both the Holocaust Museum and Penny Lane (which we heard about in the spring) are open during this wonderful event!
